A lot of pool owners in the San Fernando Valley do not know about this, so we want to make sure the word gets out. The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power is giving $1,000 rebates to pool owners who replace their old single-speed pump with a variable speed pump or variable flow pump and motor.
Southern California Edison has a similar program that gives $200 for the same upgrade. If your utility is SCE instead of DWP, you still qualify for savings.
The rebate process has some requirements. You need photographs of the installation site, copies of paid invoices, proof that the installer is a Certified Aquatic Equipment Installer, and a bunch of application forms. It is not hard, but it is detailed enough that a lot of people put it off or mess up the paperwork.
That is where we come in. We have worked directly with the DWP on this program. We know exactly what they need and we prepare the entire documentation package for our customers. When you buy and install a qualifying pump through us, we handle the rebate application from start to finish.
You do not need to take photos. You do not need to fill out forms. You do not need to figure out which pump qualifies. We take care of all of it.
The rebate combined with the electricity savings means most of our customers break even on the new pump within the first year. After that, everything you save on your electric bill is money in your pocket.
If you want to find out what you qualify for, stop by the store or give us a call at (818) 895-2266. We can walk you through the whole thing in about ten minutes.
